Our new EP, Weak Dose, is out now. Physical copies will be available to buy soon. We think it’s the best music we’ve created so far. We hope people who know our music like it and that it attracts new listeners. There’s a lot of great music around at the moment, by wonderful bands who have influenced us. We hope this EP does those influences justice.

While on the subject of new music, we’re enthralled by the current crop of great local artists we’d like to consider ourselves part of:

  • Scoundrel (Wicked punks, listen to Blind)
  • Phantom Bonehead (seriously good MC, listen to Hot Winter in the suede EP)
  • Litsoma (sick songsmiths listen to Wave)
  • Chalet noir (fantastic local scenesters, listen to Take it Away)
  • Mirror Gorillas (Honorary locals/hard northerners, listen to Greyfriars Rd)

All of the above pump out fantastic tunes that we love. In age when top ten artists either seem to be posh farmers, ‘Made in Chelsea’ fake fur coat wankers, or on a reunion, it’s refreshing that there are people who don’t sell their soul and stay true to genuine artistry.

Routine Shootings, the second track on the EP, was home-recorded mainly by Harry Hoyle with mastering by Alex Wastnidge. Credit goes to friends Chris Syder for lending an electric drum-kit, Livi Roberts for letting us use her microphone, and James Throp for taking the picture of us featured on the EP cover, as well as being an ever present positive force for the Epsom scene.

Obliterate and Petrol Money were both recorded and mastered by Alex Wastnidge at the  Nescot Studio in Ewell. We are devout followers of Alex Wastnidge and believe he is the King of Epsom and Ewell music production. Quite frankly, we laugh at people who say otherwise. The time we spend recording at Nescot is both fun and productive, with a great result. What more could you ask for?

Give the whole EP a listen…it builds. There’s great music boiling under the surface all around the world. Long live socialism, and long live fierce music.

Your boys,

Tsar Bomba.
